“Fine. But don’t expect me to be revealing anything to you anytime soon.” Taylor said. As Jack swung his staff down, she had to move over a bit, to avoid being whacked in the head. She looked at the ground now, and just below his bare feet, the ground was icy and cold. She raised a brow. “How’d you do that? Isn’t that…cold?” Taylor asked.

"Huh? Oh the whole ice on the ground thing," he said with a shrug, "I suppose to you it is. It's just kind of normal for me." He glanced at her and smiled, the light returning to his eyes slightly. "Hey! After you drop your stuff off let's have a snow ball fight!"

“Normal?” Taylor asked. Now she was curious. Sure, Jack was a little too pale, but she figured that was just him. But she sensed that he wasn’t exactly human…almost like how she could already tell that there was that sort of mystical aura around Bob and Sophia. But she kept quiet. He said they’d be seeing a lot of more of each other, so she supposed she could always ask questions later. “Sure, I guess we could have a snowball fight…but I’m not seeing any snow around here. Do you guys have some sort of snowmaker or something?” Taylor asked.

He smirked slightly and walked a bit further in front of her, "Let's just say I'm not the head of Winter dorm for nothing." He shrugged at her before walking a bit faster, "Just come to the pool closest to our dorm once you drop your stuff off. I promise, it'll be perfect for a snow ball fight."

“Uh-huh…” Taylor said slowly, as she started putting together the puzzle pieces. She and Jack went their separate ways, and eventually the girl found her dorm. She set her stuff down, and as she was unpacking, she heard her doorknob turn, and the door swung open once more, to reveal a boy much shorter than Taylor herself. But he didn’t seem like the playful type. He seemed a lot more serious, judging by the eyepatch over his right eye, and how fancily he was dressed. Taylor frowned slightly, as she turned to look at him. It was that same kid from before.
“Um..can I help you, kid?” she asked. Ciel stiffened as the girl called him “kid”, but decided to ignore it for the moment. “You’re that girl I met in the courtyard. Are you Taylor…Ruse?” Ciel asked, holding up a small piece of paper. Taylor nodded slowly. Ciel nodded back in response, closing the door behind him as he carried a small trunk to the other bed. Taylor quietly observed him, as he finally turned to face her.
“I’m your roommate. You know my name already.” Ciel said, tipping his top hat to her. Taylor didn’t know how to return the gesture so formally, so all she did was nod stupidly. “Nice to meet you too, kid. Aren’t you a little young to be in high school, though?” she asked.
“I’d appreciate it if you stopped calling me “kid”. I am of a noble family. I deserve to be treated much more respectfully that that of your commoner ways.” Ciel said, turning to unpack a few of his things.
Taylor rolled her eyes. Great. She was stuck with some overly pompous kid. “Well, sorry there, your majesty.” Taylor replied, in a snide tone. Ciel only glared at her from where he was, and returned to what he was doing. She sighed, and turned to leave. She’d deal with him later.
She eventually found her way to the pool, but when she arrived, she came upon an amazing sight: the pool was completely frozen over, even though it was warm outside.

Jack smiled at her from up in a tree, around the frozen pool was snow. Not just a small pile, but the ground was covered in it, like a winter wonderland. He hopped down from the tree and smiled at the girl. Walking over one the white cold with no shoes on. He had his staff propped up on a tree trunk.
"I told you. Perfect for a snowball fight, right Sunshine?"

Taylor’s jaw dropped. She could not believe her eyes. “Yeah…perfect.” Taylor said. She was too overcome with…whatever it was that she was feeling to even pay attention to Jack’s nickname for her. She stepped onto the frozen pool, half expecting herself to fall through the ice. And to no surprise, she did not fall through. Turning to Jack, she smiled innocently, and said “I hope you’re ready for a good snowball fight, kid. I was pro at this stuff back in Chicago.” Taylor said.

((This snowball fight has been moved to a new thread. Anyone can join into it. This thread is now back in the courtyard with Serin and the tables for the houses. Enjoy!))

Ayame entered the courtyard, giving wary distrustful looks at the foreign, ornate structures around her. She approached the tables on light footsteps with her shoulders back proudly. First impression makes all the difference. And you are the granddaughter of Yorozoku.
"Can you direct me to the Summer Dorms?" she asked the strange female demon with the bunny ears. No wonder she would come here, a bunny demon could hardly make it long in the demon world. This isn't the demon world. This is Kagome's strange future world.

Serin looked up from her book and closed it quietly. She moved it to the side of the table and pulled out one of four clip boards, since the other heads of the dorms couldn't seem to be bothered to man their posts she ended up taking over everything. She pulled off a map and placed it down in front of the new comer, along with pulling out a pen.
"Okay so you are going to head out of the courtyard, straight towards the main building, towards the small tower and it's that building there," she said drawing on the map and circling the dorm. She leaned back in her chair with a small smile, "When you are finished moving in I believe the Winter dorm is holding a snowball fight."

"Snowball fight?" she said incredulously taking the map and looking down at it. "What sort of human activity is that? And actually I was wondering if you had any dorms outside." She didn't have any luggage with her, just her clothes and the usual Japanese sword strapped to her back.

"There aren't any dorms outside really," Serin said raising an eyebrow, "I suppose you could try sleeping on the roof or something. And a snowball fight is just a game with snow." She knew that this girl wasn't a normal human just by the way she talked, not that most of the students were normal humans. Most of the staff was supernatural in some way as well.

"I'll do that then," she said. "By the way . . . are you a demon or a human, or a half-demon?" she asked looking down at her with a wondrously innocent expression.

She smiled slightly and shrugged, "I'm not a demon or a half-demon or a human or a half-human. I'm just me and I suppose you could call me a rabbit hybrid. Now go and see what there is to see." She picked up her book again and began to read.

"What's a rabbit hybrid?" she asked confusedly. "And what's that rectangular thing?" she asked pointing at the book and leaning over it to see the inside. "And those letters don't make any sense!" she exclaimed raising her eyebrows with an innocently puzzled look.
